New York City.... One Last Time

I Love New York City

This city has the most amazing vibe to it! There are so many people on the streets and so much going on at all hours of the day! Tom and I decided to go to NYC for the day. We caught the 4:15am bus from Baltimore to NYC. We got there about 7:30am and took a taxi to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. Went to Ellis Island as well. Then headed to the World Trade Center and walked around. Jumped on the subway and headed uptown to Central Park. I've been to Central Park several times and today was by far my favorite time. It was nice and warm out maybe 70-75 degrees out. Everybody was out today. Everywhere you looked people were riding bikes, carriage rides, sunbathing, playing frisbees, running, people watching, etc. We walked around for a while then sat in the grass and had a snack.. .then wandered over to the boathouse. We decided to rent a row boat like you see in all the movies. It was fun. Thank goodness Im so strong and could row the boat for Tom and I (lol). He had no clue : )! After this we walked towards 5th avenue and saw Trump Tower, H&M (had to do some shopping), Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc. Just wandered. Grabbed some dinner and we were about done. With only 2 - 3 hours of sleep the night prior and a crappy uncomfortable nap on the bus we were so tired. So we took the subway to see the Brooklyn Bridge. I love this bridge. I've never been there before and can't wait to go back. Unfortunately both of our cameras were not working so the picture is my attempt of me on the Brooklyn Bridge. It's amazing! We grabbed a subway to Chinatown... hopped on the bus and got back to Baltimore about 1/1:30am. Couldn't wait to take a shower .... I always feel so dirty after walking around NYC all day! All in All.... I always have fun when I go to NYC. I'll miss living so close to it!

Meet Will

This is my friend Will. He is the cutest! I got to spend Thursday afternoon with him and loved every minute of it! I picked him up from school we went to lunch at Old Town Deli and spent the day at the park! Great Day

MOVING OUT~~~~~~~!

Well... after I got home from Washington... it was time to kick moving out of my apartment into gear. I got home late Monday night and we had to be out Wednesday Night. Thank goodness I have great friends who were willing to help out and pack me up(Chareese and Nicole... you girls are the best). I have been in the process of trying to sell all my furniture which added to the stress. Needless to say I am moved out. Leaving my cute little condo was bittersweet. I went back on Thursday after we had cleaning ladies come to make sure it was spotless and i almost teared up looking around. So many fun times there! Rachel met me and she was feeling the same way. I already miss it and my roommates. However... I know there are so many fun times waiting for me in Arizona. It's just harder then I thought it would be leaving DC behind.

I mailed 4 boxes of clothes, books, bedding, etc to Arizona and have my life in 2 suitcases now. Living with friends for the next 2-3 weeks will be interesting. I am grateful i have such amazing friends to stay with! I can't believe how fast my time is winding down! :)

Was I Brushing Too Hard?

The other day I was brushing my teeth at my moms. I was using a toothbrush Shelley had given me from her dentist. As I was brushing... the head of the toothbrush snapped right off leaving me with a cut in the corner of my mouth and lots of loose bristles were left in my mouth! Here is the aftermath.....

Weekend Home - Vancouver, Washington

Colt and I at Henry Weinhardts in downtown Portland.
Mom and I
Brandon and I at dinner

So I had the opportunity to go home to Washington State this weekend. My little brother returned from Iraq about 3 weeks ago and I wanted to come home and see him! It was great being able to hang out with my mom and both of my brothers. We went to dinner, movies, visited with family, shopped with friends, and just hung out around the house. It's great to have Colt home safe and sound and to be able to hear him tell stories of what it was like in Iraq this past year!

My friend Tracie and I after going to breakfast!

Where Has The Year Gone?

It feels like I just turned 27. I can't believe this last year has flown by and I am another year older! Hopefully this next year goes a bit slower for me! I had a great Birthday this year thanks to great friends. I have to give props to Chareese and Nicole for putting together a great "very long" dinner with all my friends. Then the little cake and ice cream party after at my place. It was so fun to celebrate my day with all those close to me! Thanks to everyone who came! May 8 was truely a great day! (I'll be posting pics as soon as Rachel emails them to me)

Birthday Party for me ......Nanny Kids

So....Thursday May 8 was my birthday and the families I nanny for decided to throw me a little party on Wednesday May 7.

First they took me to lunch at Cactus Cantina on Wisconsin. This is Olivia and I after lunch!

I Can't Believe It's May

The weather was amazing on Friday and the day started out great with a picnic at the park with Harper and Coco.

That night we went to dinner at " Matchbox " in Chinatown and then to Gallery Place Cinemas to see "Made of Honor" with Patrick Dempsey. He is dreamy and the movie was very cute!

Saturday's weather was just as beautiful. Chareese, Tabbi, and I got up and headed to Eastern Market and then to breakfast at Bread and Chocolate. It was a great morning to be out!

Saturday night we headed to the drive in near Baltimore. We got there nice and early to get a good spot and had some friends join us. It was a very funny night ... I think the people at the drive in were more entertaining then the movie itself. The first movie we saw " The Spiderwick Chronicles". Very dumb. However....I was actually excited to see "Iron Man". Between the first and second movie we decided to take a picture of all of us. Little did we know this was against the law in Maryland and were quickly told to erase all the photos we had taken and that we had to leave. We were shocked but laughing b/c it was funny. They actually made us leave. So we packed up and headed home after spending a good chunk of money to get there. Made for a very fun Saturday night!

This is it everyone..... the pic that got us kicked out! LOL
