I Am Obsessed With.....................

#1 SANDWICH/WRAP....

Turkey 6" Sub on Whole Wheat or Wrap .... all veggies except olives and pickles ( just found out they are high in sodium ) vinegar, salt and pepper, and a little fat-free honey mustard. I could seriously eat this for every meal. Delicious!

#2 RUNNING....

I am running The Ragnar Relay in Washington DC at the end of September with some friends. So.. training has begun. Plus it's felt so amazing to get back into long distance running again. I can't miss a day! 100 push ups a day, and 200 sit ups.

#3 "FLIPPING OUT" WITH JEFF LEWIS - BRAVO TV....

Have you seen this show? This guy is beyond crazy and I Love Him! I could watch the same episode over and over and it wouldn't get old. Watch it if you haven't!

#4 READING....

It doesn't matter what the book is. I will read it. When I moved into my new apt we didn't have tv for a few weeks so my cousin gave me a bunch of books. I have read pretty much all of them. Today I went to the library and checked out 3 more. Whenever I get a spare second I go for "the book of the moment". I Love To Read. Too bad it's taken me so long to realize how much I Love it!

I cannot wait for this book to come out this weekend. When I first heard about this "series" I was thinking how dumb. However, as I started to read the first book I absolutely became obsessed. I read all 3 books in less then a week. I couldn't put them down. Lucky for me this book comes out this Saturday! : ) I can't wait to find out how it all ends!

Our First Sleepover..... : )

Ready for our movie
Jack asleep on my floor
Elle asleep on the floor
Cooper fast asleep in my bed

Elle and I at In N Out
Cooper enjoying his milkshake
Jack drinking his milkshake lunch
Elle being silly at McDonalds Playland

Well... since I moved into my own apartment my niece Elle and nephew Cooper have been discussing having a sleepover with me. So... this past weekend I told my sister I wanted to have them all over to spend the night. So... Friday night they dropped them off. We had pizza, went swimming at night, had treats, watched " Transformers" , and had more treats. They are so funny. I put the boys to sleep in my bed then when Elle and I went to bed I moved them to the comfortable floor. Then around 3am Jack decided he wanted in the bed so he climbed back in ... Elle got moved to the floor.... then Cooper decided around 6 am he wanted in the bed too. It wasn't the best nights sleep I've ever had but very funny. I was up at 7am b/c Jack decided I had to get up with him. The other 2 slept in until around 10am. We went swimming again for the morning then came back and got ready. We headed to In N Out for lunch then to McDonalds playplace to play. Then it was time to drop them off. I had so much fun with them. Even though they are a lot of work. I love spending time with them! I hope they had just as much fun ! : )

Painting Our New Apartment.....

SO... we actually moved in and painted our new place almost a month ago but since I haven't been very good at updating my blog.... it's a few weeks late. Here are a few pics of us painting. We painted all day Friday, Saturday, and then skipped Sunday and finished up Monday night. Then the next weekend decided I wanted to paint my bathroom. What was I thinking? I don't think I ever want to paint again. : ) Although I do have to say it was worth it! Our place looks so much better now!

My cuz and I ready to paint with our sodas in hand! : )
Painting the trim in my bedroom
Our trashed apartment while we painted !
Brannigan painting the kitchen..... she's too cute!
Enjoying our favorite treat....Popsicles!

4 Wheelers

My sister and her family have 2 four wheelers. My sister and I decided to take them up with the kids all by ourselves yesterday. Her husband had shown her how to do the trailer and we figured we could do it no problem. So we loaded them up and headed about 10 minutes up the road. It was hot but so much fun. The kids love it ... except my nephew Jack who kept asking if we could go home. He was so hot. The desert is actually pretty beautiful once you back off the main road. We were out for a few hours then headed home to swim in the pool. And I wonder why I really have no desire to find a job? Hmmmmm!

I Love People Coming To Visit

So... last minute my friend Arianne decided to fly out and spend the weekend with me here in Arizona. She flew in Friday afternoon and had to leave early Sunday morning but we managed to squeeze some fun stuff in. Friday night we hit up Costa Vida (just like Cafe Rio) and saw the movie " What Happens In Vegas " with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. I thought it was hilarious. Saturday we headed to the discount store "Last Chance" which is owned by Nordstroms. I found the most adorable yellow purse for $40.00. I was eyeing this purse when I worked at Nordstroms and I think it was $160.00 or so in the store. So $40.00 was a steal. Then we realized all purses were 50% off. $20.00 ... Smoking Deal! I decided since I have no job I would leave with just the purse. Arianne found a pile of stuff and got it for almost nothing. I LOVE TO SHOP!

We hit up In N Out and headed back to my sisters to Swim the day away. That night was spent watching rented movies " Juno " and " Fool's Gold". Sunday morning we were up early to get her to the airport on time. It was fun to spend a few days with a good friend. Thanks for coming out Arianne.

"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers".

M. Scott Peck
