Sugar Cookie Time

Car and I were bored and needed something to entertain the kids so we decided to make sugar cookies. Nothing too exciting but the kids had a lot of fun!

Relief Society Teacher...... Really???

So I got a new calling at church this weekend and I am extremely nervous...... Relief Society Teacher! Everyone keeps telling me I will be so great but little do they know I have an insane phobia of public speaking. I suck at it. I get butterflies , my voice shakes when I start to speak, I sweat profusely, no matter how prepared i am the second I stand up every thought is gone.

However I know that with this calling I will learn so much. That I will spiritually gain so much and for that I am grateful and will lovingly accept the calling and overcome my fear. I love my ward and love the sisters who I will teach.

Thankfully it's only once a month.... I think I can handle it! : )

How Is It Possible This Chick Is 7.........??????

This past week she turned 7 and I cannot believe she is that old! Happy Birthday to my sweet adorable niece Elle.... who has more Attitude and Sass then I thought was possible.... and I love every bit of it! XOXOXO

4th of July

The 4th started off with a bang...... boating on Lake Pleasant for the day with some friends...... getting a nice sunburn on my legs.... realizing I can get up out of the water on any form of water equipment but when it involves me standing sideways like on a wakeboard I fall down very quickly..... I've been raised a water skier and snow skier... what can i say????

After the lake it was off to a family dinner for my cousin Kyle who is getting married soon. Here is a pic of everyone who was able to make it from my dads side of the family.

Then it was time to celebrate with fireworks so Brannie and I headed down to Tempe Beach Park where we saw or almost saw all of the fireworks. Maybe we were sweating so bad and were so miserable, tired, and wanted to beat traffic we headed back to the car before they were over. Spent 25 bucks on parking and entrance fees and weren't even down there 1/2 hour. : ) Beats our last years 4th when we stayed home and painted our apartment. Maybe next year we'll get it right.

FAITH

"It was black as coal on a moonless night, with no light in the sky at all. I led my horse past dangerous cliffs, and hoped that we didn't fall. We stumbled north, about 20 feet, in the direction I thought was right. Then my horse just stopped & refused to go, or follow me into the night. You stupid horse, you stubborn beast you better follow me? I know the way; I think I'm sure, if only I could see. But the horse just stood, and held his ground like a rock of solid stone. I was tired and cold, so I mounted up, and told him to take me home. And I was scared at first, ‘cuz' I couldn't see, and blind as a bat at night. Then he slowly turned and headed south like he could see without a light. So I dropped the reins and let him go, ‘cuz we were out on a dangerous limb. And though I was blind, my horse could see, and I put my faith in him. Time has past and I never returned to that spot on the mountainside, Where all alone, in the black of night I stumbled and almost died. Then one clear day when the sun was out, and I could see my way, I think I found where I was that night, and it scares me still today. Because every direction we could have gone, was a cliff with a jagged edge. And my horse could see, what I could not, as we walked toward the ledge. And I cursed that horse that saved my life, ‘cuz he wouldn't follow me When he saw the trail I was about to take, and dangers I couldn't see. But I still recall, the way I felt, and it's locked inside my brain. When many times on the trails of life, I've been lost and felt the same. So I dropped the reins and let it go, when I'm out on a dangerous limb. And though I am blind, Someone can see, and I'll put my faith in Him." Wayne W. Burton
