Thoughts

It's 1 am and I am wide awake and have so many thoughts running through my head. I actually have to work in the morning after having 3 glorious weeks off..... It's bittersweet.

I am excited to have my routine again so I stop being so lazy. One would think I'd be more productive but thats just not the case. I have been a lazy butt . So tomorrow I return to eating healthy and going to the gym every day after work.

Along with starting up the old routine comes a few new goals ....

1. Read scriptures daily
2. Write in journal daily
3. Daily Prayers

I have been so anxious lately with things going on in my life and today I realized I needed to be more obedient. That I needed to make it a Priority to do these things and that as I make them a habit I will feel my Heavenly Fathers love more and have peace in my life regardless of what is happening.

I LOVE going home
With all my vacation time it was nice
to go home for over a week
and get to see and do so many things
Here are just a few things that I did while i was home
It was great to spend so much time with my mom
and have some much needed time away from AZ and my life here

Met my 2 favorite people for our "must do" lunch at Macaroni Grill
in downtown Portland

Got to spend time with my favorite girls I use to babysit
This is Hannah. She was 4 when i started watching her years ago.
We went to Jamba Juice to celebrate her 14th bday!
Im OLD

Squeezed in a few trail runs when I could : )
I love to run at home

Went to the Portland Temple with my friend Arianne. We were trying to get this picture
with the timer and since I had on really high heels it was Arianne ' s job to
push the button and run as fast as she could to get all the way around the reflecting pool in 10 seconds. It was highly entertaining. These pics are for you love
Being in the Portland Temple was truly amazing.....

Drove past our old house in Battle Ground I grew up in and my Dad built
It was amazing how big the trees have gotten

And... Lots of cuddle time with my new niece Elliott

I love him and this book....
It Is a collection of some of his most
memorable recent talks.

" Just believing, just having a molecule of faith-that simple step, when focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, has ever been and will be the first principle of His eternal gospel, the first step out of despair. "

3 Weeks Vacation

The family I nanny for decided to take their kids home to Hungary to see family for 3 weeks. Needless to say I have had paid vacation. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I have to go back to work in a week. I'm loving sleeping in, traveling, laying in the sun, playing with friends and family, and getting some things done.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend I went to California
with some friends......

Left early Saturday morning and stopped in Yuma at Kneaders
for the most AMAZING french toast EVER!

My friend Bryan rented a sailboat on Coronado Island for the day/night
so we loaded up and set sail for the day

Relaxing on the boat

Im a wuss and it was freezing. I ended up with a sweater and a
blanket on and was still cold

Checking out the seals

I don't know how to describe my first sailing experience.
This picture of me driving the boat was
after a major case of sea sickness and a nap

I look high in this picture but it makes me laugh

After a day on the water we made steak, potatoes, and bread
Delicious

Our Captain Bryan and his crew

Ryan was our fisherman. He was up til 4 am and managed to catch
4 stingrays

Jules and I in our room for the night
amazingly comfortable

Jules and I by our sailboat

Group shot (minus Jake who we couldn't find)
After we finished with the sailboat we loaded up and drove north to
Carlsbad where we went to church, grabbed lunch, and hit
the beach. Turns out when you fall asleep in cut - offs you get a major sunburn
on the back of your legs. Whoops!!!
After Carlsbad we headed north again to Huntington Beach where
we grabbed dinner
at an amazing Italian Restaurant
attempted to get Pinkberry (they were closed)
then crashed in a hotel for the night

The next morning we woke up and headed to Huntington Beach
spent the day laying out and watching Rob attempt to surf

*After this picture we picked up our stuff to leave and I grabbed what I
thought were my flip flops. Whoops! It wasn't until we got to my place in Arizona
and Julia was giving me some stuff and said here are some flip flops
that I realized the ones I had on were not mine

We loaded up and grabbed In N Out
and of course.....

Made a special stop on our way out of town
I <3 California
